Adbusters (Print: Photoshop, Quark Xpress)

Shown is part of two pages of a four-page spread intended for Adbusters magazine. The text of the piece deals with corporations being in charge of everything, how they run our minds, and that we’re just in general being mentally messed with.
The layout of the piece revolves around this idea. Text is angled in odd ways, and can change from one paragraph to the next. Call outs are jumbled and individual characters often have been rotated or had their base line adjusted.
This particular issue featured a hole drilled through the magazine, and had to be taken into consideration when designing. The final print size is 9 inches by 11 inches.
