Leakin’

It’s been a pretty good few weeks for albums leaking. Lucero - Rebels, Rogues & Sworn Brothers, The Blood Brothers - Young Machetes, Young Widows – Settle Down City, These Arms Are Snakes – Easter, Red Sparowes - Every Red Heart Shines Toward The Red Sun, The Decemberists – Crane Wife, Young Widows/ Coliseum - Split. Shits just out of hand. Message boards, bit torrent, and soulseek make it to easy.
Yes I downloaded all of those. Yes I will actually buy all of those at some point.

The Blood Brothers - Young Machetes
It’s good. Real good. The opening track “Set Fire To The Face On Fire” is tits.

Young Widows – Settle Down City
I always liked the music of Breather Resist but the vocals were terrible. So the singer quit and they just rolled with it. The remaining members changed their name and made a new album while listening to a lot of Jesus Lizard. I’m a sucker for Louisville bands.

These Arms Are Snakes – Easter
It’s a pretty decent album. It’s kind of a moodier version of their last album.

Red Sparowes - Every Red Heart Shines Toward The Red Sun
I haven’t spent that much time with this one yet. From what I have listened to it’s similar to the last album, but seems less hooky. The concept around the album title and songs titles is pretty rad though.

The Decemberists – Crane Wife
This is moody as fuck. Good, but moody.

Young Widows/ Coliseum – Split
It’s like I said, I’m a sucker for this Louisville shit. Coliseum is quickly becoming one of my favorite bands.
